No matter who you are or what you do, everyone needs a great attire match. In today's graduate-dominated world, typical business attire seems to have been transformed by Jobs' typical casual, T-shirt and jeans style. That's all well and good if you work for a digital startup, but if you're looking to move to more professional work, it's important to have a smarter selection in your wardrobe for a business meeting or interview.

How should you start choosing? Whether it fits or is appropriate for the occasion you will be attending, these questions can overwhelm you, if you choose the wrong color, you will look funny, thinking you want to look like James Bond, but it is actually The Joker . From choosing the color, fabric, style to choosing the most suitable design for your body, if you are very confused about the first choice, it doesn't matter, we have prepared reference opinions for you.

We consulted the tailoring gurus at Cloudstyle, a leading Amazon suit selling company, to help us understand the fundamentals.

  1. Measure your body size

Unlike buying everyday basics, buying a suit needs to match your figure perfectly. The fit will make or break your purchase - whether you spend £50 or £500, if you buy a suit that doesn't fit, it will never look good.

If you're looking to shop for a well-fitting suit, get a tape measure and a friend willing to help you get started.

Neck: Measure around the neck at the height of the t-shirt collar.

Shoulders: Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other shoulder.

Sleeve Size: From your shoulders to where you want the sleeves to finish around the wrist.

Upper Body: Measure on top of chest, underarms and over shoulders.

Waist: Measure your natural waist.

Buttocks: The best place to measure your hips and buttocks.

Thighs: Identify the thickest part of the thigh.

Inside Leg: From the lowest point of the crotch down to the ankle.

Height: Standing against a wall, the distance from the top of the head to the floor.

Remember: make sure the tape measure is restrained but not stressed - if your measurement is also close to your body, the fit will be too tight and uncomfortable.
